Crush Argo-waste Paper

Crush Argo-waste Paper

Crush is the ecological range of papers made using process residues from organic products (citrus fruits, corn, olives, coffee, kiwi fruits, cherries, lavender, grapes, hazelnuts and almonds) to replace up to 15% of virgin tree pulp. Crush is certified FSC® and GMO free, contains 40% post-consumer recycled waste and is produced with 100% green energy. The carbon footprint is reduced by 20% using by-products and 100% green energy. Any unavoidable emissions generated during production of this eco-friendly paper are fully offset through Carbon Credits used to finance activities that can absorb CO2 in the atmosphere. Crush and its production process are patented.

Bagasse / Sugarcane Wastes Paper

Bagasse Paper

After extracting sugar juice or biomass ethanol from sugar canes, a huge amount of residual wastes consisting of stalks and leaves are generated. This residue is called “bagasse,” and approximately 1 billion ton (dry weight equivalent) of bagasse is generated for every 1.2 billion tons of sugar cane produced every year. While part of it is burned in boiler and is used as the power source for producing sugar, the rest is discarded. Because this surplus bagasse is basically plant fiber, it can be turned into pulp that can be used as the raw material for manufacturing paper along with wood.

BioCycle Plant Fibers Paper

Plant Fibers Paper

  • BioCycle-Grass
Grass cut from Upper Bavarian meadows provides half of the contents of this paper. The grass is painstakingly harvested and dried to achieve the long-fibered structure that’s indispensable for a voluminous paper. Grass grows everywhere. The ecological balance is unbeatable. The paper is radiant with a vivid green color created in part by adding natural chlorophyll. An impressively heavy weight of 600 g/m2 makes this paper ideal for letterpress or silkscreen printing.
  • BioCycle- Wheat
Gmund’s straw paper is much more than a paper for special effects. Up to 50% cellulose from wheat straw replaces classical wood-based raw material here. Containing 5% unprocessed straw from Bavarian farmers, it produces a genuine straw feeling when one runs one’s fingertips over it.
  • BioCycle-Cannabis
High-quality cellulose from European-grown cannabis is visible in the subdued color and sparse vegetal inclusions, and the hemp is palpable in the paper’s slightly coarse texture. Self-evident naturalness makes this paper a convincing and – non-habit-forming! – choice.
  • BioCycle-Cotton
The cotton used by the paper industry is a waste product from the garment industry. The combination of cotton and FSC-certified cellulose from fresh fibers results in an ecological paper with great purity, durability, a pleasant feel and an elegant style. The long fibers of the cotton plant assure outstanding results for embossing and letterpress printing.
  • BioCycle-Cycle Cellulose
The use of 100% recycled cellulose is easily and elegantly evident in this paper’s attractive color: its hue is crème rather than the typical gray of ordinary recycled papers. The unchallenged leader in environmental friendliness, this outstandingly versatile paper is also convenient to process.

ColorPlan Paper

ColorPlan Paper

New standards are being set in papermaking process of Colorplan to make a positive contribution back to the environment. All the pulp is sourced from managed forests (for every tree felled, three are planted).
Pulp enters the process at 1% to 99% water, then becomes 93% solid material before the remaining extracted water is returned to the river in pristine condition. Bi-products from the production process are used in agriculture, and the chain of custody ensures that Colorplan is FSC certified. Colorplan strives to reduce the paper’s environmental impact and are at ISO certification level in reducing energy consumption and waste generation without any compromise on quality.
