NOVO, a dietary nutritional supplement company in NSW Australia, was on a quest for something beyond the ordinary. They sought sophisticated, colourful packaging that not only showcased their products but also aligned with their commitment to sustainability. We sourced sugarcane bagasse board as the primary material for NOVO’s custom printed boxes. Bagasse is the fibrous residue left behind after the extraction of sugar or biomass ethanol from sugar canes. Using bagasse has several environmental benefits. First, it’s a byproduct, which means it makes use of what would otherwise be discarded. Second, it requires less energy for harvesting and transportation compared to traditional pulp, reducing its carbon footprint. In fact, it’s estimated that using bagasse-based paper can lead to a reduction of approximately 179kg of CO2 emissions for every ton of pulp produced this way.
Custom Packaging: When Protection Meets Elegance
For NOVO’s delicate glass bottles, we crafted custom paper inserts to ensure their safety during transit and presentation. These inserts fit perfectly with the custom packaging boxes. Protection was paramount, but aesthetics were equally important.

The embossed NOVO logo on the custom printed boxes required precision and accuracy to achieve the desired look. This added a premium quality appearance, setting the packaging apart from the rest. The distinguished printing technique used by Myerton Packaging beautifully echoed NOVO’s brand image, creating a custom packaging solution that left a long-lasting impression on customers.
To further enhance the packaging’s eco-friendly profile, we opted for a pearl finish coating instead of traditional PET film lamination. This not only added a touch of elegance but also ensured that the packaging remained recyclable, in line with NOVO’s sustainability goals.
